Fall is delicious

Q: Write about one of Heavenly Father's 'tender mercies' in your life this week.

There is nothing quite like the season Fall. It's so delicious. That's the best work I can think of to describe it. I feel like all of Fall is a tender mercy to me. It was a very hard summer and I am grateful Summer is followed by Fall because I love everything about this season. And God knows that I love everything about this season. I'm not saying he made this fall especially beautiful just for me, but sometimes it sure feels like it. And fall has inspired me to write a poem. I am not a poet, so... feel free to stop reading now. Ahem:

That musky scent with a touch of smoke:

a delicious sign of fall.

Leaves golden, crickets stop their croak,

It's a time of change for all.

Children start school; sharpened pencils in tote.

Sweet couples fall in love.

Birds fly to where cold is remote.

All thanks to God above.

  1. I was feeling the same way about fall this week. It really is splendid. And I don't know what you are talking about, you are an amazing poet and I have always thought so.
