African Safari? I vote yes

Congratulations, you have just won grand prize in a poetry writing contest. You have your choice of a two-week African Safari, a dream date with your favorite Hollywood celebrity or an all-expense paid flying lessons. What do you choose and why?

The most important point with “would you rather” scenarios (which, if you didn’t know, I am a huge fan of) is to have tough decisions. For example, this is my favorite: would you rather have a pumpkin for your head or your butt? See? That is a tough choice! Either one would be very awkward/uncomfortable/strange/lots of other things. But IF I won a grand prize for poetry (which is obviously a long shot) I would definitely go on an African Safari for the following reasons:

1. Christian Bale is my favorite actor, however I don’t fancy being bombarded with the F bomb throughout a date, which you can unfortunately witness on youtube. I think he also might be married. And really, I’m kind of into humble guys. And also single ones. Yeah I’m not seeing that date going too well.

2. Flying lessons would be awesome! However, the likelihood of me ever flying again would be minimal, and … well I’m just really excited about this safari idea!

3. I have always wanted to go to Africa! What a spectacular place! Home of giant beetles and other things that could instantly make you paralyzed with one bite.

4. I want to see a giraffe lick someone’s face, which could possibly happen on a safari since it happened to my neighbor when she went.

5. I could wear my mom’s cool straw safari hat. Yes, definitely added to the pro list.

6. I would get to reenact certain scenes of Lion King aka the scene wear they jump off the log 200 feet above the water and dive in. That’s a bit like flying lessons right there.

7. It involves Jeeping. Thank you Uncle Dave for introducing me to the wonders of the Jeeping world.

8. It’s a safari. Enough said.

Happy Travels!

p.s. This photo came from africansafaripictures.com I did not take it. But maybe I will take one like it on my future safari adventures!
