Reflect on a writing technique or a point of grammar that you learned in this class that you believe you will remember?
This class was not the first time I ever heard about sentence fragments. If it had been it would be sure proof that my education had failed me. BUT is was the first time I thought about how much I liked the use them. Especially in blogs. Or in my journal. To make a point.See? I just wrote a little train of them.
I know sentence fragments are bad. I know they make you sound like you don’t know what you are doing. I know that an English major or an editor would cringe reading my SFB (Sentence Fragmented Blogs), but I like ‘em. I think learning about them made me want to use them more in my casual writing, because...
They are fun!
They are easy!
They make my blog sound pleasy!
… sort of. So although that was the opposite intent of the class, I thank you. I am a fragment user. Fragmented sentences are my guilty pleasure. I am addicted to fragment sentences.There. I said it. Blog on Fragments.p.s. Are you now counting every fragmented sentence I wrote?
