Back

It's back to the old grind on Wednesday, and by old grind I mean school. A new semester: new classes, new people, new parking wars, new social dramas, new friends, new decisions & most
importantly A NEW YEAR. I have great
hopes for this year because:

1. I wrote down excellent goals (that I have yet to start... but I will!) and

2. This year has already started off great. Here are some examples:

We went to my uncles birthday/New Year party complete with our Martinelli's, Fireworks, good conversation, noise makers and me winning Apples to Apples (because Kara skipped out early: thumbs down). And there certainly was a lot of love to go around! Nikki & lory, Emily & Joe, Tom & Lauren, Kara & Jamal, Aunts & Uncles, Grandma & Grandpa, Mom & Dad, which left Jeniel, Kristi & I to be the awkward couple. My family needs some significant others - any offers?

I spent great amounts of time with our nationwide spread family. And then that family did "Just Dance 2" which created priceless images that I will remember always. Or at least until next Christmas. And K-rae, one of the nicest people ladies, gave foot massages. Yum.

The infamous underwear and old shirt quilt has been half completed! The annoying half I hope. So side number one conquered. And to all of those who doubted me/ thought I was gross... ha! Look how well my underwear makes a quilt. Thank you dElyse for your inspirational underwear quilt legacy.

Hanging out with high school friends that have recently come back from a mission has been great. We went to my friends concert at Sammy's and unfortunately I didn't dance. That was a bad choice.

And finally I have learned that canceling dates is not so bad - in fact I was rewarded for it! Last night a big box was delivered to our doorstep much to my embarrasement since there was a mutual activity at our house and many people were there. It was from my friend Andrew with a note that said "Congratulations on your mission call Amberlee - New York will be lucky to have you!" and a beautiful boquet of 2 dozen roses. This is the same friend who I was supposed to go snowboarding with earlier but I cancelled on account of hanging out with Kristi Rae. So maybe I should cancel dates more? Or probably just continue to hang out with people who are much nicer to me than they should be. Yes, that sounds like a good start of a new year.

Welcome 2011!
