On my mind

When I was 18 I suddenly entered a very anti-marriage phase. Not just for me, but for everyone. It was triggered by witnessing multiple tragic divorces in several friends and some family members. I heard story after story of terrible relationships, and I soon thought, 'why would anyone ever want to get married? How could you ever trust anyone enough?'

Since then I have obviously come to favor people getting married in a more positive light, and recently I have observed beautiful stories of loyalty and dedication, whether in friendships, family or marriage that I really admire.

SO to my:
Grandparents, both Lovell & Woodbury, together over 50 years

Parents who raised 6 children,

Siblings and in-laws,

Professor who lovingly takes care of his late thirties severely schizophrenic wife while raising their four children and probably will for the rest of his life,

Friend who is supporting and encouraging a clinically depressed husband,

Sweet friend Alyssa and her husband who have an amazing story of determination in adopting 5 Ethiopian children and have gone through papers and papers for adoption even after moving there for over a year.

Friends who have helped me in my happy and sad times.

And to everyone else who is loyal to family, spouses, friends, beliefs or loved ones. Thank you, you are a lovely inspiring example.
