Merry Christmas! Hope yours was a great as the Senecaloo Waterfall Sisters! I loved talking to you - all of you! - yesterday. That was so fun to have everyone on. I am amazed at your organizational skills to get 5 states and 2 countries connected.. Thank you! You just heard from me, but here is a bit more about what happened this week:
This week has been amazing. Serving in a trio with sister Meister and Sister White for a week was really fun, and we saw miracles. The biggest being - we got a new investigator named Judy. She is amazing. We tracted into her and she was on the phone but said, come back in 5 minutes. So we did and she wasn't there, but her husband was and said he was catholic, but she was wide open to religious ideas and we could try back tomorrow. So we did and were able to teach her the restoration. She is so humble and fighting cancer right now, which has left her with a lot of desire to learn about God. We get to meet with her and her family on Wednesday, and I am so excited. I can just feel what a wonderful person she is.
I loved being able to do what Christ would do on Christmas day. We were able to meet with a few people who literally had no one in the world who cared much about them and I thought about how much the savior loves them and how much I wanted to be able to just stay with them all day and talk and be their friend, but at least we were able to be there for them for a bit. I think the savior feels an even greater amount of that sorrow when he sees those who are so lonely. I always want to respond to the promptings of the spirit so I can be there for those who are so in need of the savior's love. I love being a missionary and a representative of Christ. This is the best way to spend Christmas.
Waterloo is waiting with excited anticipation for the new sister! Not sure exactly what we are going to do other than just work really hard. I'm so excited/nervous/I think I might accidentally throw up on my new companion tomorrow from nerves! It will be great :)
love you all,
Sister L
