My last official day of work at Deseret News |
My mind started racing again in class today and this continuing question popped back into my mind:
"Can I really be a journalist?"
Sure, I love writing and interviewing is fun. The problem is, I still don't know if I have the drive to dig deep enough, to pay enough attention to detail, to tirelessly ask and ask and ask people for ANY information they have.
Today in my investigative journalism class, those questions were renewed as we discussed what questions we should be asking about the recent fire in Rexburg. Hm... we shall see. We shall see.
In other journalism news, my internship didn't end as intended. On my last day at Deseret Digital, they asked me to keep writing until they fill a replacement, so I have been.
But with school and writing two articles a day it's left me a little stressed. Or a lot stressed. I'm trying to decide. On a side note, my stress must really be making my writing die because I have never had so many mean e-mails about my writing as I have this week.
It miss my lovely Salt Lake, but it also feels so good to be back in Rexburg. I'll write about the many wonders happening here soon and also DISNEYLAND!
