It's August to all you loggists.

Good Morning! For all those wondering, a loggist is a person that harvests logs. I'm pretty certain about this. Especially about why it would be spelled with two 'g's. And the reason I am writing this nonsense is because I'm not sure what to write about this week. It's been a pretty uneventful week that can be summed up in 5 words: chased by dogs. a lot. Sister McKenna's subject to her family this week was 'chased by dogs, licked by dogs, chasing dogs, SICK OF DOGS'

Yep, again. We taught our one investigator- and he is doing really well, but slowly. He studies the Book of Mormon very deeply, and is so humble. We feel grateful every time we get to teach him, but he is also unwilling to go to church with us because of the strain it will cause with his girlfriend he is living with. {I mentioned her last week}

The rest of the time we tracted or cleaned yards. It was a good week though. We also got a hold of one of the referrals finally - a 19 year old girl. She was really sweet but not too interested. Her younger 16 year old sister was more so. It was such a neat lesson though. I immediately loved those girls so much and the spirit was really strong whenever we were talking about how much Heavenly Father loves his children. It was good. We will stop by again next week.

This week I kept thinking about what a blessing it is to be in this mission! It's so cool! We had a big EFY group come through the sites and it is one of my favorite things to take youth groups through. They were a great group. Oh and yes, I saw the Mendenhalls! We were just getting in our car to go home and Sister Mendenhall ran over. They are so nice. It was neat hearing about how he served here 38 years ago and how the 1 ward has now grown into a few :) I am grateful to be at the sites! I'm not sure if I will be after the transfer in 2 weeks, but I think I will stay in Pittsford.

We met some very interesting people this week. In fact, I think the theme for the week was people who talk a lot about very little. Not in a mean way, but really they just talked over and over again about the same thing. I think I might do the same thing.

I loved seeing the pictures from Disneyland. What a cute family I have! :) As we studied the commandments this week, it made me so grateful to be brought up with a good example of living all of those commandments and having the blessings that it brings. In fact I cried while I was teaching about tithing in our role play this morning because I was so touched by what heavenly father will bless us with when we pay our tithing. Haha. It was kind of funny.

Glad things seem to be great. I love you all so much!
love,
Sister A
