lovely :)

Dear Family,
Happy Anniversary to Elaine & Warren and Sharla & Tim! Is it 9 years? Sometimes I still think you are newly weds, but It also feels like you've been in our family forever, because I can't imagine it without both Sharla or Warren. Thanks for coming - i'm sure gald you did. :)
It was an awesome week!!!! yea! We found a woman, Liz, that we had been teaching a month and a half ago, but she moved and didn't give us her address, and then stopped answering her phone. We have been praying since then that we would find her, because we knew the general area she was in, and just felt like we couldn't give up on her. Then one night we were walking down the street and saw her pull out of the driveway, {also, we recognized her porch furniture. How creepy are we?} so the next day we went and saw her. We were nervous for her reactiong, but she was so excited! She had lost her phone which means she had none of her old contacts, and had to move from her house earlier than planned. She really wanted us to come back and teach her. It was a miracle. And it was also a blessing that we lost her for a month and a half, because it helped her realize what our message brought to her. Before she was just letting us come because it was interesting, but now she has a desire to have faith in Jesus Christ. Teaching her again was amazing. We were able to bring a member along as well, which was the first experience I've been able to have with that, and it was great. Everytime I think about it I want to do a dance because it makes me so happy.
Other than teaching Liz it has been a great week too. Our other investigator is so sincere. He just wants to be better than he is. There are a lot of heartaches and worries he has that we don't quite know yet, or how to address them, but we are so hopeful for him. He loves the savior, and said that when he reads the Book of Mormon it is refreshing and it renews his desire to read the bible as well.
This week we went on exchanges. It was so good! It's great being able to learn from someone who does things a little differently for a day. It was also Pirate weekend in Palmyra {Sister McKenna stayed in Pittsford, and I went to Palmyra for 24 hours} so we contacted during a parade that involved bed racing. Yep. Someone sat on a decorated bed and their team ran them down the street. They also had a parade, which involved a lot of loud pirate music. It made tours at the Book of Mormon publication site interesting, because I would be testifying about how the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and a drunk sounding man would be belting out music :) oh, and the exchange was with the Site trainers, {kind of the leader sisters of the sites} - not with the district leaders. That would just be weird. And not appropriate.
sent to Mom by Tingy Family excited by my tour
And another fun thing was working at the booth in the fair yesterday. What is it about fairs that attracts the strangest people? It was awesome talking to all of them. We met some great people, and got a few referrals. Then we left when the Elders came to take over. At exactly the right time too, because there were some traveling gun showsmen that were getting a little too interested, and I don't mean about the Book of Mormon. But being at the fair was fun - nothing like the smell of cows, sheep and dung to make you sentimental about home :)
So life is good. Zone conference is tomorrow, which is why prep day was today. excited for that! Hope to hear from you soon! I love you all!
love,
Sister A
