This has been my view all day today, most of yesterday and a few hours tomorrow. On Tuesday I overheard my boss talking about a quick trip they were sending my coworker on to Sacramento to survey people. I said something along the lines of:
"You're going to stand in Walmart all day and talk to anyone who buys dehydrated potatoes? That's awesome!"
And that is how I ended up leaving for sacramento at 3:30 the next morning! Among other things it has been fun people watching.
I've seen some cute little girls giggling and giving each other kisses in a shopping cart.
A tough grandson helping his grandma shop.
A small market owner investigating each item he is going to buy for his shop veeeery carefully.
Some stressed out moms.
Some men I'm assuming are bachelors based on the items in their cart.
A few sweet elderly couples doing their shopping together.
Tons of the most beautiful black babies and I wanted to steal every one of them.
A few people having a hard time.
Lots of other people I couldn't read.
The coolest thing is that every single person I've asked to survey has been kind or very polite at the least.
You know those commercials where somone is looking at a product and a farmer pops out and hands it to them? I'm seriously that person. I talk to them and then give them a coupon for the product. It's a little bit creepy and a little bit awesome combined into one.
