I believe in God.
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t believe in him, but
today someone asked this question and I can’t stop thinking about it: Why do I
believe in God?
I believe in God because I have felt him calm me in
difficult situations.
I believe in God because he has given me a deep sense of
hope at times when hope seemed like an impossibility.
I believe in God because I’ve seen people change with his
help.
I believe in God because when I pray, I know he is
listening. Somewhere deep down I can feel it.
I believe in God because he sends people into my life at
just the right times.
I believe in God because I see good people become amazing in
hard, hard times.
I believe in God because he allows us all to mess up, to get
hurt, to go the wrong way all for the sake of learning - like any good parent
does.
I believe in God because I’ve felt him use me to show others
that he cares.
And because I’ve felt that, I know that he cares. This year,
more than any other year, I have been amazed at how much he cares about our
decisions. He cares about our little sadness’s as well as our big ones. He
cares about the happiest moments of our life. He cares about helping us get out
of our ruts.
Most of all, I believe in God because I feel him every
single day. Usually in small ways, like noticing something especially beautiful
in nature. But sometimes it is much much larger. Every day he is willing to
help me be better, even though every day I continue to mess up.
I believe God is always aware and always there.
I believe we are completely blind to this, except when we
start training ourselves to see that everything around us is how we know that
God lives.
And because I believe in God, this year I want to be better
at believing God. I’m going to work harder to trust in what he tells me to do
and to trust that he knows what He is doing with my life.
That’s my Easter gift to the Savior. I hope your Easter has
been a beautiful one!
:) Thanks for sharing
