Hi! It's been a few months since I sent you pictures {isn't it weird I can even say I've been out a few months?} so here are a few.
- Our miracle, refound investigator liz! She is so cute. And smart.
- Bob. He takes care of the grove and is our good friend. This was when he took us on a grove tour.
- Sister Kendig - the sassiest, coolest woman we visit every week. She is modeling the crocheted headbands that she made for us. haha I love her.
- Our apartment! The sisters had bought food for a breakfast they were going to have during conference with a less active who cancelled. So we all got to eat it together for breakfast.
Great news: Transfers came and went and Sister Gonzalez and I are still together. And also....Sister Gonzalez and I finished the Book of Mormon challenge! We were very behind, but we made it, and we finished it in the best place possible: during our shift at The Hill Cumorah. It was an incredible thing to think about where we were, what terrible things had happened in this area, and then in complete contrast what glorious things had happened here too, and the evidence of it we were reading. As soon as we finished it in the Christus room we had the strangest feeling - it was like a little zing surge in my heart. I have read The Book of Mormon many times, but never this fast and never by the recommendation or with as much prayer as we did this time and that made all the difference. It was awesome!! We have decided to do a maintanance program of reading the four gospels this transfer and memorizing a scripture every week. It's been good so far.
I'm not sure what else to write about right now. My mind is kind of spinning from the genorosity of a woman who just gave us a lot of free stuff - mostly shampoo, and I'm afraid I can't seem to get it to stop spinning. This was a week of many cancelations, but it was still a good week made even better by conference. I think the entire conference was focused on our mission as we read the Book of Mormon. That was spectacular. I loved Elder Callister's talk. And, well so many others. Elder Bednar's on family history was so cool too. And Elder Ballard's on being Christ's church. We worked at the Hill for two of the sessions, so we will just have to wait to read those later, but for the two we saw it was like they were all written for me and aimed to answer my questions. Except the multiply and replenish the earth one. That can wait I guess...
Thank you for the package! A little box of joy is what it was. Nothing to make a day better than homemade granola, boots {which were very appreciated this week!} finger puppets and a new old sweater. By the way mom, I love that sweater. That was a good purchase 40 years ago. Thank you thank you thank you!
tell Sydney hello! Yea! I love you all and am very grateful to call you family. From the litttle cards recieved - thank you :) They have found a nice spot on my wall. What cute little nieces I have. Hope all is going well. The gospel is good!
love,
Sister A
