Well the call came last night that I am moving to Shortsville {yes, that is the real name}. It is only about 15 miles from Waterloo, and I will be serving with Sister Fetuli from Tonga. I am so lucky to get all the international sisters! I am excited, because sister Fetuli is enthusiastic about everything, and she is still a relatively new missionary, so it will be fun to still have someone with a lot of fire :) It was a really big surprise to be leaving Waterloo and Sister Park though. Wow, will I miss my little Korean, and our less actives. Leaving an area is so strange. And Waterloo has really been a growing place for me. The lord has been preparing my heart to leave though, because I have realized I think my less actives need someone new, and the sister who is coming in is really fun and good, so I am excited for them.
This week we dropped Linda - our 7 year investigator. It was a good lesson, the spirit was strong and we invited her to baptism twice, but we realized she has no desire so we told her we wouldn't stop by as often and that we loved her, but needed to use our time somewhere else. I think she was relieved. haha we were much more sad about it than she was. But we feel good about it and know it was right. Sister Park will just have to find a new investigator to accidentally kiss on the neck...
We had a mission tour from Elder Cook - our area 70 that was really good. He taught about developing a mature testimony, which means you aren't afraid to admit, like Nephi, that you don't have all the answers. Some things we don't know why we were asked to do them, but we know that God is perfect and that he calls prophets and apostles and we can receive personal revelation through continuous scripture study, prayer and pondering.
Thank you for the birthday wishes :) I will be celebrating it tomorrow by moving to a new area! What a great way to start my 22 year I think!
Happy, beautiful spring! I love you all.
love,
Sister A
