sitely

I am ridiculously happy today. No real reason, I just am. Hope you are happy too. It was a good week, but I feel like we hardly saw anyone. We did teach a wonderful German woman who is 88 years old. and very Lutheran. She had a very good heart.  We also pounded on our investigators door to come to church for 15 minutes. No answer. Haha oh dear. 5 weeks of him promising to be there and no show. Six weeks the charm probably.

I got to speak in sacrament on Sunday about member missionary work and I really enjoyed it. Today I read the story of Lamoni and Ammon and also one of my favorite people - Abish, who is the Lamanite woman who was a convert many years before Ammon came. I realized that that story is a great story of a missionary teaching by the spirit, but also of how those who were converted {Lamoni, his wife, and Abish} brought a multitude to the gospel and it was through the members efforts that they were in the right place to feel the spirit, and change their hearts.

Other than that things are good. I don't really know what else to say. We served at the Hill a lot this week and it really made me be grateful for all the historic sites we get to serve in. It is a huge blessing to get to rotate around. This week we have Zone Conference in the grove and on Hill Cumorah, which I am very excited for. It will be great. President Christianson is such a powerful speaker. Oh yeah, someone had asked about listening to his talks, I can't remember who... But there are two I've heard he has recorded that are really good "Healing the Wounded Soul" and "It Takes Faith" and his name is Jack R. Christianson. I have It takes Faith. I will send it home when I send my giant winter coat and you can listen to it if you want.

That is all today:) I sure love you all. Thanks for your prayers.

love,
Sister L
