Book of Mormon stop in

The beautiful apple blossoms outside the Whitmer Farm.

Not a lot of update since I got to talk to you. It was so fun to talk to you! Thanks for the fun conference call! I love you! Last night we stopped by Holly and Kalie's - the mom and daughter we are teaching. We haven't been able to see them for a few weeks, so we were a bit worried. Last night we felt prompted to read with them 3 nephi 11, and the spirit was very strong. Holly said she didn't understand much about Jesus Christ, but she knew he was important, so we focused on teaching her about the Savior as we read it. I loved it because I learned a lot as we did so as well. We won't be able to see her for a while because their school is going to DC, but we are hoping and praying she continues to read on the ride down.

A woman came into BoMPS (Book of Mormon printing site) on Sunday and said we grew up on the same street. It was Ed and Shawna Strobel's youngest daughter. She lives in Victor, NY {next to Pittsford} now. That was fun.

So I will send you some pictures, because it has been a while. I don't know if I have very many exciting ones. But we will see. Today  we are in Rochester, because we are going to the Lilac festival! Exciting! I'm not sure what it is, except that it probably includes a lot of lilacs. And it's fun to be in the city! Hope your day is beautiful! love you!
love,
Sister L
At the celebration for the first day the Book of Mormon went on sale. The Senior missionaries dressed up as people who worked in the shop. And we led brief tours through. We had hundreds of people come that night. It was really fun. And extremely hot in that skinny little building.

Smurf Fetuli. How she prefers to do Companionship study at the Grandin building.

Cute Sister Fetuli and her birthday fruit Pizza. I almost broke the stove trying to figure out how to light the candles without matches, and then later found matches in the cupboard. nice.
Creepiest thing ever. We turned the house corner to go visit a less active and there was this awful mannequin standing on her porch! I wasn't 100% sure it was a mannequin though, so I wouldn't walk up to the door. What if it moved!? So eventually Sister Fetuli walked up and knocked on the door. Neither of us wanted to turn our backs to it. . . The woman we visited said it was hers that she really loved, and it used to be in her room, but they didn't have space anymore, and her new husband said they had to get rid of it. I can't imagine sleeping with that creepy thing in my room. woof.
