I'm not sure where this week went. It just passed without us knowing and without getting to be in our area very much. We did get to teach Karl again - our awesome new investigator from last week. He is so cute. He is 75 and just wants to serve God. We taught him about the plan of salvation and were able to set a baptismal date with him for August 4. We love him and are excited to have him come to the Joseph Smith farm with us on Thursday.
We also had a great lesson with Doug that was really neat,
because as he felt the spirit he went on much fewer tagents, could focus on
what we were actually saying and not only did he not make any inappropriate
comments, but he apologized for previous ones! He also opened up a lot about
his holdbacks, and talked about how he wanted to be able to trust God,
he just didn't know how. We felt it was a big turning point, but when
we went to see him yesterday he told us he needed some space. We were sad,
but hopefully we will see him relatively soon.
So that was our week. Pageant starts the 13th and runs to
the 21st. I do have preparation day next week and then will try to email
sometime during pageant. It's the 75 anniversary, which has been a great
resource to use in talking and inviting people this year. I'm so excited! We
will be working at the Book of Mormon Publication site the first week and the
Hill the second. It will be great, although I'm not sure what's goiing to
happen to our investigators during this time. We will have to pray hard.
I love you all! Thank you for the prayers and letters. Hope
Kristi's move went/is going well. Party at 248!
love,
Sister A
