Monte-Mockingbird

I can't pick between one character so I will go with two. First I would like to meet Atticus Finch from "To kill a Mockingbird." I love this book and Atticus is a fictional hero of mine. He is such an interesting character- he clearly loves his children deeply but they have such a strange relationship with him. I would want to meet him because of his strong moral sense to do what he thinks is right and also I admire how he keeps his cool in hard situations. For the time era he lived in, standing up for an African American man that he believed did not rape the woman in question was remarkable. He liked the man, he respected the man so he protected him.

The second is very different from the mild-mannered rational thinking Atticus. I would like to meet Edmond Dantes - the main character in "The Count of Monte Cristo." Like Atticus, he is very intelligent and has a strong sense of justice. However, unlike Atticus he also has a driving sense of revenge. This character is fascinating to me because of the sanity he holds onto in prison. The character is a brilliant, charismatic and intelligent man, however he is full of hate and unmerciful. I am certain I have never met anyone like him and wonder what it would be like to talk to him.
