George Lloyd Lovell: My Grandpa

My Grandpa Lovell died last Thursday. He was a remarkable man, of which I will write more about later, but he had such a good perspective on the gospel. This is a tender excerpt of his personal history that was put on his funeral program that says a lot about my Grandpa. I am grateful for him and his example. He is already missed by many, but I am happy for him that he is now with his wife and daughter and parents, and the many more who were waiting for him.

"I remember vividly the day my father came home from his mission; running and jumping into his arms. I've thought many times that this is the way it will be when we are reunited with our loved ones who have completed their earthly mission and gone home to our Savior. It's going to be a wonderful, warm reunion such as the day my father came home from his mission after being gone for so very long."
