pageant concluded

Hm, not a lot to report on the area. Pageant finished up and was amazing! We were pageant die hard fans! We went every night. Unfortunately we did not make our goal of having an investigator or less active family there every night but we did pretty good.

You know it's pageant when...
- The lord blesses the lightning and rain storm that is happening to go around the Hill Cumorah area until 20 minutes after it is finished.
- Your daily planning goals are '0'
- Eating is a luxury. Getting more than one meal is a miracle.
- You are so sick of snack food that downing a whole tray of vegetables actually sounds appealing to you.
- You're more less active in your ward church attendance than some of the less active families you work with.
- You count 100 people through the door within 15 minutes
- You get toned face muscles from constantly smiling
- You go through a whole tube of chapstick from your lips being so chapped from excessive talking
- you forget simple words like paper after telling the process of printing 20 in half an hour
- The theatre smells constantly like Body odor and stinky feet from the constant flow loading and unloading people from the restoration video
- getting the people counter clicker job is the golden job because you can sit on the couch and not have to smile
- You give up on not being rote , "where are you from?' "have you been here before?" 'Welcome to the print shop"
- you pray that the volunteers false doctrine stories won't shake someone's testimony
- you get to stay up until midnight and sleep in until 8 on your mission
- you dream about C.C.A. Christensen {one of the artists at the Grandin building. I had in fact 2 dreams with CCA in them}
- Referral calling dominates your life. 'I know you don't know me, but I know a name of someone you know..." Wow am I awkward at that.
- You share a tiny little bathroom where you could wash your feet in the shower, sit on the toilet, and spit in the sink all at the same time with 6 sisters
- you have watched the last 3 minutes of the restoration video 32 times  in 2 days and bore testimony of the savior and Joseph Smith.
- You see random people you thought you would never see again {Sally Franz, Jordan Forebush, A guy in my communications classes like 3 years ago, a girl from NY that I took on tour a year ago}
- You realize almost every person in the church knows someone from or in Rexburg
-  Someone tries to set you up with their grandson/nephew/neighbor/
coworker/son returning from mission that's standing right there {this is the most awkward one} at least once every few days.
- You develop a 6th sense for when someone is going to ask, "Is this original?"
- You have pageant so memorized you can act out the whole thing, music included
- the big yellow anti truck driving by, the anti pamphlets that show up on your car and the antis on the megaphones just make you smile and feel sorry for them
- You miss your companion from not seeing her for hours at a time
- You realize when you get to the site that you didn't even brush your hair that morning and you are content with it.
- You get to try the legendary salt potatoes. I think the key is that they are drenched in butter. yum.
- Hundreds of people fill our referral cards!
- You wish you could attach a sign under your tag that says, 'yes I am a real missionary.' and how the half day at sites half day in area works, because you are asked about it so often
- The spirit is so strong!
- people sign up to receive the Book of Mormon!
- You want to cry from being so grateful to serve in these sacred places.

It's been amazing. I am so sad to see it go. Last year was easier because i knew I would have another one. But I am so grateful I still have more time to get to serve and help those who came and felt the spirit continue to progress. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and all those who worked so hard to preserve their sacred experiences in it. I know it's true and it helps me and all those I teach come to know the savior more than any other book.
I love you all! Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.
love,
Sister L
p.s. transfers came and SIster Larsen and I get to stay together in Shortsville! YEA!!!
