Less actives galore

Happy March! How appropriate that such a great month started off with a great week. Sister Park and I were really happy this week. Both of us got a little bit better and worked a little bit harder and we were very blessed. The highlight of this week  was the people that the lord put in our path. As we were walking through the village we ran into people that we had talked to previously, and they hadn't wanted us to come over, but we were able to talk again and remind them and invite again. I am constantly amazed at the little noncoincidences that the Lord places in our path. One was a 17 year old girl who we had previously given a Book of Mormon to. She said she had been reading it and said, "Actually the other day I was thinking about you." How great that the Lord leads us to people at the right time in the right way.
This week I experienced probably the most powerful lesson of my mission with a less active who had become very upset when reading about the 'great and abominable church' in The Book of Mormon so she refused to read it again. It was so intense. SHe had been doing so well and reading everyday previously, but when we came in she said it made her 'ticked'. I didn't know what to do, but as always, the Lord did. There was incredible power in testifying of the Book of Mormon and using it to answer her questions and explain. I learned that the Book of Mormon can really stand up for itself using the Book of Mormon to respond to objections became more real to me. It was a miracle to see how the spirit guided us when we didn't know what to say and also to see the spirit work in her and change and soften her heart. She was happy and excited to read again when we left. Wow, the Book of Mormon is amazing.
I also got to go to an ARP meeting with someone we work with for the first time. It was so neat. The spirit was strong and I loved realizing again that the atonement can change and heal anything. We all have addictions and we can all work to overcome and improve through the Savior.
As for strange things... On mormon.org chat this week we were talking to a neat woman who wanted to take a tour of a temple. She was very sincere and we figured out that since the temple she was going to didn't have a visitor center, that she could sit in the foyer and someone could talk to her about her questions. She then asked 'What offering sould I bring to your Lord Macaroni?" It's a good thing this was online because I had a weird heart cringe and a fit of giggles at the same time. SHe was serious. There is a lot of misunderstanding out there...
Hope your birthday was great dad! I was thinking about you! Things are very happy here in Waterloo, New York. Hope the same to you as well. I love you!
love,
Sister A
